Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is employed by ESPN and is the SportsCenter News Anchor. She began working for ESPN as a reporter in 2016. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bi-lingual since nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first position as a production assistant at Univision in Miami and provided her with the opportunity to collaborate with producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. She was hired as an reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. In 2009, she relocated to Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Her duties as an anchor on sports and weather was often asked for. Later, she was the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given greater responsibilities. She reported on the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Apart from that she also co-hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. Then, she became the sports host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. She worked in the same role for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22 the 22nd of November, 1985 in Mexico City. She has a sister. In 1992, the family settled in Miami following the move out of Mexico in the US. After a while, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. In the summer of the year 2006, Antonietta took a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta was just graduating from high school but already knew the things she wanted to be doing. In the end, she loved the school and the university offered the kind of program she was searching for. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and began studying media at the University. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a member. They had a very close friendship. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to believe in herself and was greatly moved by his love of journalism.
